Job Title: Dietitian (Full-Time)

Location: Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS

Position Summary: The dietitian is responsible for: assessing and documenting patient nutritional status; consulting with physician and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs; instructing and educating patients and their families in nutritional principles, food plans, food selection, and preparation; creating and presenting nutritional education programs; updating policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain standards of care and regulatory requirements.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with the completion of the accredited dietetic internship program or Bachelors degree with the completion of an accredited coordinated program required.

Certificates and Licenses: registered dietitian required or registry-eligible and must obtain within the first six months of employment; current Kansas state licensure or must obtain within the first six months of employment and may require additional state licensure based on population served; BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification within the first two weeks of employment.
